After looking through various designs of Tarot decks throughout its long history, we thought it would be interesting to invite a group of contemporary artists to share their interpretations of these mystical cards. Inspired by Carl Rohrig, a German painter renowned for his beautifully crafted deck, imagination is key. Each artist has chosen one of the 21 Major Arcana cards and recreated it based on their skill set and aesthetic.

Johalla Projects in the Lakeview East Arts Festival!!

Johalla Projects had a great experience working with the Lakeview Arts Festival!!  We hosted an emerging art tent in conjunction with the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce.  Together, we worked towards attracting new business to the area, entertaining fair patrons, and bringing the art community and its followers to this corridor of Lakeview.  Johalla Projects collaborated with several artists, each of whom created an installation‐based exhibit within the tent partitions.  Art was for sale at a relatively low cost.

Exhibiting artists were:

Chad Harrison “Northern Lights”
Chad Kouri & Peter Skvara
Rick Leech “Ready”
Allison Williams “Chicago Crane Project”
DJ British Knights
and  “street urban pop up” curated by Erik DeBat in collaboration with:
Kingdom Kilpatrick
Thor “Thunder Circus”
Chris Silva
